Breakfast in Toronto, Lunch in Vancouver | Trans Canada Express
Blink and you’ll miss it! Our Home & Miniature Land teamed up with students from George Brown College Centre for Arts, Design and Informatics to embark on a unique project, one that all our mini citizens will be thankful for!
For the duration of two months, twelve students went on a mission to design a logo and brand identity for a new Canada-themed high speed train - The Trans Canada Express. Following a brief created by Our Home & Miniature Land, students had complete creative freedom to design a high-speed train that rivals that of a sleek European model. Each student did a remarkable job creating original designs that conveyed comfort, service and speed, but in the end there was only one winner - Manar Hossein! Congratulations to all the students for their efforts and hard work on creating such impressive and innovative designs. Some honourable mentions include Majeed Isaah in 2nd place and Marissa Ponn in 3rd place.
To celebrate her win, we invited Manar and project coordinators Lori Endes and Jennifer Masters to our pilot facility for an official unveiling of the winning design and to witness the HST pick-up its first mini passenger.
